Dr. Dan Burisch (Crain)

Microbiologist Dr. Dan Burisch was born on February 2, 1964, in Lynwood, California and received his Ph.D. (Microbiology and Molecular Genetics) from the University of New York, Stonybrook, in 1989. In 1995, although he was born “Danny Benjamin Crain”, Dan decided to change his last name to “Burisch” to match his wife’s, (Deborah Kay Burisch) and daughter’s last name.

Dan graduated from SUNY Stonybrook with his Ph.D. in 1989 and, at the same time, worked for the U.S. Navy’s DOD Naval Research Laboratory as Captain and Microbiologist IV.

In 1994, he worked at the underground facility at S-4/Area 51 in a laboratory five levels below the Papoose Mountain complex, at Nellis AFB, Nevada. It was here that Dan suited up in what he has described as an “astronaut’s suit” before entering into a “clean sphere” filled with a cold hydrogen atmosphere which housed an Extraterrestrial Biological Entity (EBE).
